From 25.01. till 28.01. the Erlangen RoboCup-Team visited the OOP, one of the biggest and most renowned conferences for innovative topics centered around software development in Europe. Following an invitation the bavarian RoboCup-Team put the skills of its robots on display at its own exhibition stand, thus drawing the attention of visitors and participants alike to the Soccer World Championship in South Africa and the Robot Soccer World Championship in Singapore. Many of OOP's visitors were impressed by our Soccer Robots and our team was able to make new contacts.
Furthermore, our students used the conference to keep up to date with the state-of-the-art in software development and project management. Some new insights gained at the conference will certainly find their way into the interdisciplinary student project RoboCup at the Technical Faculty of Erlangen-Nuremberg University.

Out of 21 teams in the Small-size League we achieved an astounding shared 9th place at our first RoboCup participation. We didn't manage entering the quarter finals but we're hopeful to place even better next year.
