Additional to the reports of our own game, we want to say something about other happenings during the competition.
CMDragons intentionally gave up in their game against KIKS in the round robin to play against Skuba in the final and not in the quarter-final as the schedule would have been, when CMDragons would have won the game against KIKS. This behaviour ist not acceptable in our oppinion and does not support the competition and it's intention.
It seems to be impossible to avoid this behavior by strict rules. So it depends on each team to make this competition a fair and successfull competition.
In the quarter-final Immortals protested silently but impressively and lost 0:10 against CMDragons by moving their robots to the side of the playing field. We respect this behavior and support the protest.

And a second win for out team! This time we could archive a 3:0 against the team RoboJackets (USA). During this game we could again score a very nice goal after a great pass from one of our robots, bypassing the opponents defense. This was the last game of our team for today. In total we have now played half of our groups games - and won all so far. Tomorrow the next games will be against RoboFEI (Brasil) and RoboDragons (Japan), two strong teams which we nevertheless hope to beat.
The rest of the day will be used to write some code, charge the batteries and fix the hardware. Additionally we will try to get some sleep to make sure we and our team will be in its best shape tomorrow!

Today our first game of this RoboCup started at 11:15 am Singapore time with a slight delay, as our first opponent Omid (Iran) experienced some technical problems. After a few seconds of game we already shot our first goal of this competition. ER-Force robot Number 4 scored with a nice shot after a perfect pass from Number 3. In the first minutes of the game we had a lot of good shots at the goal and after the first half our team was in the lead with 4:0. In the second half our opponent had changed to a very defensive strategy, which made any further attack very hard. However this also made it rather easy for us to keep the result from the first half. So our first game of this world cup ended with a successful 4:0 which gives us a comfortable start at this RoboCup.

From 25.01. till 28.01. the Erlangen RoboCup-Team visited the OOP, one of the biggest and most renowned conferences for innovative topics centered around software development in Europe. Following an invitation the bavarian RoboCup-Team put the skills of its robots on display at its own exhibition stand, thus drawing the attention of visitors and participants alike to the Soccer World Championship in South Africa and the Robot Soccer World Championship in Singapore. Many of OOP's visitors were impressed by our Soccer Robots and our team was able to make new contacts.
Furthermore, our students used the conference to keep up to date with the state-of-the-art in software development and project management. Some new insights gained at the conference will certainly find their way into the interdisciplinary student project RoboCup at the Technical Faculty of Erlangen-Nuremberg University.
